Turnkey Project

Paris 75007 / France

The axis for the remodeling design of this Parisian apartment with an interior area of 105 m2 was a new layout chosen by the clients:

a spacious living room with kitchenette, two bedrooms (a main bedroom with a dressing room and a guest room), two bathrooms and a guest bathroom. The imposing dimensions of the place were not only maintained, but were highlighted and glorified. The lack of cabinets and storage spaces was another key design issue. New built-in carpentry was installed connected to other new contemporary decorative elements, and colors were juxtaposed as in the original nineteenth-century Haussmann style.

Eclecticism allowed leaving a trace of the passage of time in the space along with a stamp of our time.

The perspective of the corridor, which originally traversed the apartment, was modified by creating a visual barrier in glass and metal in the American kitchen. Its great height was accentuated by a floor to ceiling closet in red lacquer. The original wall and ceiling moldings as well as doors and mirrors were restored. The original wooden floor in fishbone design was preserved and painted gray, while wall moldings were highlighted in gold.
