Art Nouveau Apartement
This Art Nouveau apartment of 200 m² served as a laboratory for 40 years. For its complete transformation, the methodology of monument restoration was employed. In the first phase, a detailed survey and inventory of all existing elements were carried out. The “added” and non-original parts were identified and subsequently dismantled. During the demolition phase, we discovered several original components, including moldings and the mosaic in the entrance. All were restored by craftsmen from the south of France.
The spaces were cleared to the maximum to highlight the original Art Nouveau architecture, such as the metal structure embedded in the walls, which was left exposed. An eclectic style was incorporated into the project, with the intention of showcasing the new materials and creating an atmosphere that is both open and dynamic: the kitchen, living room, and dining room can be fully integrated into daily life or separated by sliding panels.
